Steve Pimpo

Managing Principal

I help leaders understand and solve their most challenging problems and achieve positive results by helping bring them the right solutions and services. With over 30 years of experience working in senior executive roles for KPMG, BearingPoint, Deloitte, Accenture, and my previous firm, Greenhouse Consulting, I’m focused on connecting people together and building teams to foster the conditions needed for next-level growth. I’ve worked for and with the premier brands in professional services with expertise spanning leadership, strategy, business development, relationship management, supply chain, sales training, foreign military sales, and performance improvement consulting both nationally and internationally.

As a small business owner, I’m  focused squarely on my clients. With a highly engaged style and comprehensive approach to strategy and business development, I help create formidable leadership and management teams that allow companies to grow through strategic account management, relationship building, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.

On a personal note, I enjoy golf, playing guitar, fishing, traveling and spending time with my family. As a former naval officer, I enjoy helping veterans transition from the military to civilian life. I’m happily married to the love of my life and I have 6 amazing children!

What's in a Name?

The Double Eagle name and logo have a variety of meanings that combine to tell our story.
  • The Eagle is the symbol of the United States and represents the U.S. Military, patriotism and strength. It is focused, swift and determined to succeed.
  • A “double eagle” is the best score that can be achieved in golf and is extremely rare. In golf as in business, we strive to help our customers become the best that they can be. And like a good caddy in golf, we partner with our customers, getting to know them in an intimate way, and build a strong and complementary relationship built on trust and shared vision.
  • Eagles don’t normally “flock” but they do often work in pairs. We help organizations and teams strengthen relationships and work together to achieve shared vision and common goals.

Reset. Renew. Soar.

Whether you heard the story in “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” or in another presentation or story, there’s a compelling metaphor of strength and transformation that connects to the eagle story. Did you know eagles go through a process of transformation at around 40 years of age? During this time, their beaks and talons grow longer and their feathers become worn out. To renew their strength, the eagle retreats to a high mountain nest and begins a process of self-renewal, plucking out its old feathers and waiting for new ones to grow. After several months, the eagle emerges with renewed strength, ready to soar to even greater heights.

This story is a great reminder that transformation and renewal are key in the lifecycle of successful businesses (and leaders) to stay competitive and continue growing over the long term. By embracing change, taking time to reflect, and investing in ongoing learning and development, businesses can renew their strength and continue to achieve success even in the face of new challenges and opportunities.
